2022

11-07-2022   Balouto 2nd Meerdonk
Our boys did well at the national competition in Meerdonk. The Zangersheide approved Balouto van Paemel Z started with a double clear round in the 1m30 class to finish just outside the top ten. The Baloubet du Rouet x Colman son jumped to a great second place on the last day in the 1m35 class under Andres Vereecke. With the AES approved Cuba Libre van Paemel Z (Cicero Z x Calvaro Z) Andres jumped double clear in the 1m25 class.

05-07-2022  Moulin Rouge 2nd in GP Vilamoura and Coconut 2nd in Knokke
Moulin Rouge van Paemel (Numero Uno x Carthago Z) clearly has a taste for it. During the two-star competition in Vilamoura, she started her competition with a 5th place in the 1m40 qualifying class. She finished in style with a clear course and a clear jump-off in the 1m45 Grand Prix. Under Duarte Seabra she finished in 2nd place.

Coconut van Paemel Z (Cicero Z x Sandro Z) went to the sunny Knokke with Andres Vereecke for the three-star competition. The duo immediately jumped to a great second place in the 1m35 class against time on the first day.

The five-year-old Jazira van Paemel Z (Jaguar van Paemel x Numero Uno) was able to jump a clear round during the STX cycle in Baudour under Jelle Limbourg.

20-06-2022  Moulin Rouge wins in Frente Atlantica
Moulin Rouge van Paemel has had a successful weekend. The Numero Uno daughter of Cayenne van Paemel Z (Carthago Z x Darco) was able to take the victory together with Duarte Seabra in a 1m40 class, came second in another 1m40 class and finished in 3rd place in a 1m30 class.

The next leg of the STX cycle was on the program at Sportstal Vanderhasselt in Ternat. Jazira van Paemel Z (Jaguar van Paemel x Numero Uno) and Fiesta van Paemel (For Pleasure x Quidam de Revel) jumped clear under Jelle Limbourg and Katinka van Paemel Z (Kannan x Darco) did the same under Florence Capel.

18-06-2022  Cassius AES approved
We would like to introduce you our new AES approved stallion, Cassius van Paemel Z. Cassius is a son of our Cicero Z van Paemel and Fortuna van Paemel. He is therefore the full brother of Jamaica van Paemel, who jumped up to 1m60 under Mario Deslauriers, and the half brother of Malta van Paemel (v. Numero Uno), who competes up to 1m45 level.

Mother Fortuna van Paemel is a daughter of Darco and Quechua van het Lindenhof (Remondo x Graphit). She is therefore the full sister of the 1m60 jumping Barbarossa van Paemel and Don Camillo van Paemel, the 1m50 jumping Winona van Paemel and the 1m45 jumping Uncle Sam. Her half-sisters Cleopatra Z (v. Campus) en Evita van Paemel (v. Nonstop) gave in combination with Cicero Z van Paemel the 1m60 jumping Ciska van Paemel Z and the 1m50 jumping Jazir vd Roshoeve respectively.

Granddam Quechua vh Lindenhof is also the half-sister of Rendez-Vous van Paemel, who, as the dam of Cicero Z van Paemel, Kingston van Paemel and Hawaï van Paemel, needs no further explanation.

13-06-2022  STX cycle Hasselt
Last weekend the STX cycle was held in Hasselt. Both Kiss Me Quick van Paemel Z (Kannan x Colman) and Jazira van Paemel Z (Jaguar van Paemel x Numero Uno) jumped a fine clear round under the saddle of Jelle Limbourg. The six-year-old Chance van Paemel Z (Cicero Z x Cento) also jumped a convincing double clear with Jelle.

Cuba Libre van Paemel Z (Cicero Z x Calvaro Z) in turn jumped a double clear round in a 1m20 class with Andres Vereecke at Sportstal Vanderhasselt.

06-06-2022  Coconut placed
Andres Vereecke took Balouto and Coconut to the new competition location in Grote-Brogel. Balouto van Paemel Z (Baloubet du Rouet x Colman) showed great things and jumped his first 1m45 class. Unfortunately, a mistake on the penultimate obstacle prevented them from finishing in the top five. Coconut van Paemel Z (Cicero Z x Sandro Z) placed 7th in the class for seven- and eight-year-old horses. She also jumped a great clear in the final, but unfortunately a short turn in the jump-off surprised her.

Our breeding product Moulin Rouge van Paemel (Numero Uno x Carthago Z) did well during the CSIO3* Madrid. Together with her Portuguese rider Duarte Seabra she gained a 6th place in a 1m40 class.

For Fiesta van Paemel (For Pleasure x Quidam de Revel) and Kiss Me Quick van Paemel Z (Kannan x Colman) there was also a clear round with Jelle Limbourg during the STX cycle competition in Ghlin.

29-05-2022  Kingston 6th 1m50 Opglabbeek
Kingston van Paemel (Numero Uno x Randel Z) continued his good form and jumped to a top ten placing again with Andres Vereecke. King and Andres achieved a 6th place in the 1m50 qualifying class during the four-star competition in Opglabbeek.

22-05-2022  Kingston 4th 1m55 GP and Balouto wins 1m40 Opglabbeek
What a weekend! Our rider Andres Vereecke headed over to Sentower Park at Opglabbeek with the four "Van Paemels" last weekend and they all took home a prize. The youngsest one, our six-year-old Cuba Libre van Paemel Z (Cicero Z x Calvaro Z) jumped two days clear in the classes for five- and six-year-old horses. Coconut van Paemel Z on her tern jumped the classes for seven- and eight-year old horses. The Cicero Z x Sandro Z daughter gained a nice 4th place and got a bad luck fault in the final. Our eight-year-old Balouto van Paemel Z (Baloubet du Rouet x Colman) succesfully ended his competition, with a great win in the 1m40 3* class. As icing on the cake, Kingston van Paemel (Numero Uno x Randel Z) did fantastic in the 1m55 Grand Prix. With a clear course, Kingston and Andres qualified for the jump-off. The duo again remained clear and finished on a beautiful 4th place!

08-05-2022  Killer Queen sold
It's definitely not something we do often, but sometimes we have to say goodbye to certain horses. After two clear rounds in the STX cycle our five-year-old Killer Queen van Paemel Z draw attention. The Kannan daughter of Kaiserin van Paemel (Cicero Z x Sandro Z) draws attention with her excellent technique, souplesse and will to jump clear. Because of that we are more than happy that Killer Queen is sold to a stable who will give her opportunities. We hope to see her quickly in the competition ring under Louke Baeten!

At Mivaro in Dilbeek the next competition of the cycle was ridden this weekend. For Fiesta van Paemel (For Pleasure x Quidam de Revel), Jazira van Paemel Z (Jaguar van Paemel x Numero Uno) and Kiss Me Quick van Paemel Z (Kannan x Colman) there was a lovely clear with Jelle Limbourg.

02-05-2022  Balouto over 1m90 in Maubeuge
Last weekend the international competition in Maubeuge was on the program. Our eight-year-old Zangersheide approved Balouto van Paemel Z (Baloubet du Rouet x Colman) was clearly in the mood. He started the three-star competition with a 7th place in a 1m35 class and ended with a 4th place in another 1m35 class. On Saturday Andres entered the pretty Balouto in the six bars competition, which apparently was his thing. The duo managed to get through to the fourth round in which the final fence was built on a height of no less than 1m90. Balouto cleared the 1m90 fence, but unfortunaly got a fault on the penultimate one, resulting in a nice 5th place.

For our AES approved Cuba Libre van Paemel Z (Cicero Z x Calvaro Z) there was a joint first place on the first day with Andres in the class for six-year-old horses after a clear round.

25-04-2022  Kingston 9th 1m60 CSI4* Hagen
After a positive experience in Lanaken Andres Vereecke decided to take Kingston van Paemel (Numero Uno x Randel Z) with him tot the four-star competition at the German Hagen. Andres immediately started Kingston in a 1m60 class ridden over two rounds. Kingston jumped a superb clear to secure a spot in the second round. In this second round Kingston got a little bit too excited and unfortunately hit a fence. The duo finished on a fantastic 9th place in their first ever 1m60 class.

In Vosselare the next STX cycle competition was on the program last weekend. Jelle Limbourg steered Jazira van Paemel Z (Jaguar van Paemel x Numero Uno), Kahlua van Paemel Z (Kannan x Carthago Z) and Kiss Me Quick van Paemel Z (Kannan x Colman) clear over the finish. Katinka van Paemel Z (Kannan x Darco) on her turn jumped another clear round with Florence Capel.

18-04-2022  Kingston & Coconut in Lanaken
During the second week of the Z-Tour in Lanaken both Kingston and Coconut jumped nice round with Andres Vereecke. Our eight-year-old Coconut van Paemel Z (Cicero Z x Sandro Z) started in the classes of the CSIU25. The first day she jumped double clear in the 1m30 class to finish on a nice 7th place in the 1m40 class the last day. Kingston van Paemel (Numero Uno x Randel Z) had some bad luck with an unlucky fault in the Grand Prix.

During the STX cycle competition in Gesves Kahlua van Paemel Z (Kannan x Carthago Z) jumped a clear round with Jelle Limbourg, while Killer Queen van Paemel Z (Kannan x Cicero Z) and Katinka van Paemel Z (Kannan x Darco) jumped clear with Florence Capel.

03-04-2022  STX cycle Lier
Our young five-year-old mares have successfully jumped their first competition of the STX cycle for young horses. During the second leg in Lier Kahlua van Paemel Z (Kannan x Carthago Z), Fiesta van Paemel (For Pleasure x Quidam de Revel) and Kiss Me Quick van Paemel Z (Kannan x Colman) jumped clear under Jelle Limbourg. For Killer Queen van Paemel Z (Kannan x Cicero Z) and Katinka van Paemel Z (Kannan x Darco) there was a clear round under the saddle of Florence Capel.

Kingston van Paemel (Numero Uno x Randel Z) managed to jump a clear round in the 1m45 Longines Ranking class with Andres Vereecke to finish just outside the top ten during CSI2* Lanaken.

27-03-2022  Cuba Libre debutates clear
Our six-year-old AES approved stallion Cuba Libre van Paemel Z moved to the stables of Andres Vereecke at the beginning of this year. The Cicero Z van Paemel x Calvaro Z son made his debut and jumped his first international competition this week. The new combination jumped a nice double clear on their second day.

21-03-2022  Balouto 6th young horses Opglabbeek
Andres Vereecke took both Kingston van Paemel and Balouto van Paemel Z with him to Sentower Park in Opglabbeek this weekend. The Numero Uno x Randel Z son Kingston jumped a nice clear 1m40 round in the two-star competition, while the Baloubet du Rouet x Colman stallion jumped to a 6th place in the final class for the seven- and eight-year-old horses.

06-03-2022  Kentucky approved
Meet our newest approved stallion Kentucky van Paemel Z. This beautiful three-year-old stallion has a lot of expression and blood. Kentucky is a son of the legendary Kannan out of our broodmare Cayenne van Paemel Z (Carthago Z x Darco). In loose jumping he shows a beautiful technique and the will to stay away from the wood.

His dam Cayenne already produced, in combination with Numero Uno, the 1m50 jumping Moulin Rouge van Paemel and Kyra van Paemel, dam of the 1m40 jumping and Selle Français approved Easy Star Devil (by Quartz du Chanu). Cayenne herself is the full sister of the BWP approved and 1m50 jumper Che Guevara van Paemel Z. Her sister Isis van Paemel (by Colman) produced the 1m45 jumping Z approved Balouto van Paemel Z (by Baloubet du Rouet) and her other sister Jinx van Paemel (s. Numero Uno) is the dam of the 1m45 jumping Otis Blue AC/WB (s. Jaguar van Paemel).

Granddam Betina van Paemel (s. Darco) is the half sister of the well-known progenitor Cicero Z van Paemel, the Zangersheide approved Kingston van Paemel (ISJ 1m60), Hawaï van Paemel (ISJ 1m60), the BWP approved Esperanto van Paemel (ISJ 1m45) , the 1m45 jumping Clovis van Paemel Z and AES approved Casanova van Paemel Z. Also in the dam line we find the 1m50-1m60 performing horses Barbarossa van Paemel, Don Camillo van Paemel, Ciska van Paemel Z, Jamaica van Paemel and Winona van Paemel.

Kentucky has been approved for the SBS studbook and is daily available with fresh semen at Hengstenhouderij Dekens.

27-02-2022  Coconut jumps a couple clear rounds
Over the past three weeks, our Coconut van Paemel Z (Cicero Z x Sandro Z) made her debut as an eight-year-old in the CSI1* classes of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva. Since Coconut has very little experience, the main goal was to give her the necessary mileage and trail experience.

The first day she jumped clear in the 1m35 class and repeated this the next day in the 1m40 qualifying class. The second week she again remained clear in the 1m35 class and had a bad luck fault in the second phase of the 1m40 class. On Saturday the 1m40 Grand Prix was on the program. The elegant and very scopey mare stayed nicely clear and qualified for the jump-off. In the jump-off Coco again stayed off the wood, but a slightly too short turn brought her just too close to an obstacle, which required a circle. In the last week there was a nice clear round in the 1m40 class.

31-01-2022  Kingston van Paemel moves to Andres Vereecke
Our now twelve-year-old Kingston van Paemel has moved to the stables of Andres Vereecke for a few weeks now. The Numero Uno x Randel Z son competed for many years together with the Frenchman Aldrick Cheronnet, in which Kingston became o.a. 3rd and 7th in the 1m50 Grand Prixs of CSI3* Valencia, 10th in a 1m50 CSI4* Saint Tropez and 4th in the Grand Prix of CSI2* Valencia. We are of course grateful to Aldrick for all the work and the great results they achieved together and hope that Kingston will be at least as successful with Andres.

The new duo jumped their first course at Stal Vincent Martens in Tielt last weekend. After years of not jumping indoors, this was immediately a double test. In the national 1m35 Grand Prix Kingston jumped a convincing clear round and so this combination successfully completed its first course. Besides Kingston, Andres also saddled Balouto van Paemel Z (Baloubet du Rouet x Colman) in the same class. Balouto also jumped a nice clear round.

11-01-2022  Balouto started the new year well
Our Zangersheide approved Balouto van Paemel Z jumped his first courses as an eight-year-old at Sentower Park, Opglabbeek. The Baloubet du Rouet x Colman son could not begin the year better than by jumping three days clear. In the classes for seven- and eight-year-old horses Balouto finished together with Andres Vereecke on a 9th place the first day, an 8th place the second day and a 6th place in the final.
